or
Bhagavad-Gita

Translated from the Sanskrit Text by Sir Edwin Arnold.

I have barely begun to learn about Hinduism. What have I discovered so far is that…

  • the appearance of worshiping a multiplicity of Gods is not necessarily incompatible with monotheism;
  • a strength of Hinduism is unity in diversity, which indicates tolerance; and
  • the Bhagavad-Gita is relatively short, and a joy to read. Chapter 9 especially resonated with me as it describes the sovereignty of God.

‘The Message of Krishna is the message of love. All God’s prophets have brought the message of love. None has ever thought that war and hate are good.(Paris Talks)
